Story
Hello there!
I am currently fundraising as part of the Little Heroes Conquer Kokoda 2024 Challenge, which for me is an opportunity to experience an adventure outside the everyday comfort zone of everyday life, to challenge myself physically beyond the daily routine, whist the opportunity to experience ANZAC day in Papa New Guinea.
While only I can physically train and mentally prepare myself for the extreme challenges confronting me on the Kokoda trek ahead, it is only with your generous support that together we can all help me achieve this fundraising goal and beyond to raise much needed continued support to the Little Heroes Foundation. This will assist their ongoing support to children and families battling day to day through their "Little Heroes Care Program", through your generous donations in the lead up to the Kokoda trek April, 2024.

Little Heroes Foundation Incorporated
In 27 years of operation, Little Heroes Foundation has raised close to $40 million - the majority going towards purchasing lifesaving equipment at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital and providing daily support to families through the Little Heroes Care Program. Little Heroes is also pleased to announce a new partnership with the Childhood Dementia Initiative. There are almost 90 deaths each year from this illness, yet little is known about the 70 different variants of this condition. The Foundation is currently running the campaign ‘Raise it for Renee’, supporting a South Australian mum with all three of her children experiencing the devastating impacts of terminal childhood dementia. Little Heroes has committed $50,000 to support Renee and families like hers. In conjunction with this campaign we are also funding a PhD student in Professor Kim Hemsley's team at Flinders University to assist them with finding potential treatments and cures for childhood dementia. Our partnership with Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation continues to grow through our Big Talks for Little People campaign, along with a new commitment towards an Eating Disorder Facility to be built here in South Australia.
